This project came about after being told that I 'captured someone's personality' one too many times. While I appreciate that it is meant as a compliment, I don't believe the idea what it is actually possible to capture a personality - just that you like the image, and you're choosing to ascribe a personality to the subject yourself.
All images are 4x5 film.
Please note that these are not final images; the final images may be edited differently, or even removed from the project altogether.
